MAXIMUM MAX MCALISTER - A New Site

The new and improved site can currently be found HERE.

By Saturday you'll be able to simply enter "maxmcalister.com" into your browser and reach the new site. These DNS issues take a bit of time to propagate. (Didn't know I could speak techno-Geek, did you?)

Stop by the new site. We think you'll like it much better.

Dear Max,

I can’t believe you are already a month old! In the last month I have learned a lot about you. You hate being confined. By that I mean you hate being swaddled and you really hate your car seat- except when you fall asleep. Every time I get in the car to take you somewhere you scream the entire time-once I take you out of it or loosen the straps you are fine. You have begun sucking on your hand a lot which I am trying to give you a pacifier instead so you won’t be buck toothed- when you finally do get some teeth. You like to take baths and you pee almost every time we give you one. You have some reflux and I took you to the doctor to get some medicine and even though you have only been taking it 2 days it does seem to help. You like to sleep on your stomach, even though all the books say I should lay you on your back. You squirm a lot. I’m glad we bought that jumperoo thing, I think you will like it when you get bigger. Speaking of bigger- you weighed 11lbs 6oz as Friday, September 7th. You are a chunk. You are now sleeping longer stretches as of the past 2 days. I cannot tell you how happy this makes me. You like to sleep during OU football games. You like taking walks in your stroller and looking around and then falling asleep. You like to be held, but I can always put you down in your crib and you will go to sleep if you are droopy-eyed. You are starting to get restless and holler out of boredom. I say holler because it isn’t really a cry it is just your way of saying move me somewhere else so I can look at something different. I love all of your facial expressions and watching you hold your head up. Sometimes you kind of buck around trying to hold it up and I can’t help but laugh. You are the most adorable thing ever and I am having so much fun watching you grow. I love you!

Love,

Mama

When Max Can Talk, I'll Buy Him One Of These

Max's First Labor Day Meeting

Had he not slept the entire time, Max would have heard some very excellent gospel preaching.

Friday night he slept through Clint DeFrance, Stan Owens and Johnny Elmore. He did squirm a bit, but basically he heard nothing. Even so, the preachers did an excellent job.

Saturday night he slept through Billy Dickinson, Jerry Dickinson and Wayne McKamie.

Sunday morning at Fossil Creek he slept through Ronny Wade's sermon on the type of Christians needed in the church. It was an excellent sermon. I'll make him listen to it (it's recorded) when he's older and more alert.

Sunday night was the final night of the meeting. He squirmed and made faces in his sleep while Bruce Roebuck made faces from the pulpit, but delivered an excellent sermon about giving place to the devil. Kevin Presley and Ronny Wade both did their usual excellent job, but alas - Max had no idea of what he was missing.

In the years to come he'll hear recordings of these sermons and realize how great the preaching was. It was a great first gospel meeting for him. It sets the standard pretty high.
